Trip
2
Longstone
Trelew SW422269
We
drove from Penzance on the A30, taking
the turning onto the B3283. Traveling
down the B3283 for about a mile, looking
on the right for a sign for Trelew Bed
& Breakfast. Just before the sign
there was a lay by where we parked.
Walking up the signposted lane, a couple
of fields up on the left hand side,
from the gate was seen the Longstone
Trelew.
Blind
Fiddler SW425282
Retracing
our steps we returned to the A30, and
turned left. Driving for just over a
quarter of a mile, on the right hand
side of the road the Blind Fiddler could
just be seen ‘peeping’ over the gorse
hedge. We found it just possible to
park on a small lay by close by.
We
walked up to the gate of the field where
the stone was located, where there was
a great view of it. There is a stile
next to the gate but there is no footpath.
Boscawen
Un Circle (Nine Maidens) SW412274
We
continued to drive on the A30 for about
a mile until on the left hand side we
came across a small wooden gate. We
only just manage to park nearby on this
very busy fast road.
We
went through the gate (marked red on
map) and followed the path. This was
easy to follow as it was well trodden.
After a quarter of a mile we saw a small
copse at the bottom of a hill. Behind
the copse was the circle.
Carn
Euny SW402288
Turning
back to Penzance, we drove for about
300 yards and turned left to Tregonebris.
This turning has a Carn Euny sign. The
rest of the way is well signed and hence
is not shown on our map. Follow the
signs for 2 miles. There is a small car
park. Follow the signs, up the footpath,
over a stile, it is only a short walk
to the village.
