St Ives Church SW

St Ives Church is worth a visit while in St Ives. The church is easy to find, being located in the town. Its tower is visible from most parts of St Ives.

The church is primarily a 15TH / 16TH century structure.

There is a 15TH century cross in the churchyard.

The interestingly carved font dates from the 15TH century. The carving on the choir stalls date back to the same period. The pulpit panels are Jacobean.

Barbara Hepworth’s sculpture Bianca del Mare or the Madonna and Child can be found in the church.

This sculpture she donated in memory of her son who was killed while serving in the armed forces.

Other points of interest are the painted carved angels and the carved bench ends.
