Clare Burchell

Clare Burchell is a textile designer who graduated from the University College of the Creative Arts in Farnham, specialising in silk screen printing.

Clare showed her work a the New designers exhibition in London, as well as holding two exhibitions, with other local artists, in Penzance at Just Cornish and Chy Gwella house of healing and creativity.

The designs are printed on both paper and a variety of silks and cottons. The use of colour plays an important part in Clare's work as she enjoys overlapping contrasting and vibrant colours to create her designs. Also the addition of embroidery and applique can be applied to the final piece to create an unusual effect.
