Causeway Head is a pleasant pedestrian precinct located close to the centre of Penzance. It has a varied selection of shops, including a green grocer, art gallery, food takeaways, eating places, public houses and gift shops. Causeway Head has something to offer for everyone.

The Savoy Cinema in Causeway Head is the longest operating cinema in the country.

There is good parking, with two car parks at the top of the street, and a larger one only two minutes walk away.

A small outdoor market is held at the top of Causeway Head three days a week. The market is located next to an unusual small granite roundhouse.

Where Causeway Head meets Market Jew Street is an imposing building, the Market House.

This is fronted on one side by a domed bank and on the other by a statue of Sir Humphry Davy.
